Ina & Tartine=the best solo date company! I started re reading Ina’s memoir for the second time and WOW I just love it so so much. I wasn’t expecting to feel such an emotional connection with it, but I felt like Ina literally grabbed me by the shoulders, gave me a good shake and said “Don’t be afraid! Listen to your own voice! Make mistakes! Take risks! Find what you love to do!” Ina trained as a pilot, worked as a nuclear analyst in DC and lived in a van for months camping around Europe throughout her 20s & 30s-what the heck! She never went to culinary school and didn’t write her first cookbook until she was 50. As a what-is-my-purpose-and-what-am-I-doing-in-with-my-life 23 year old, I’m constantly warding off anxiety about the future and meeting expectations around “success”. But, I felt so moved and hopeful by Ina’s ability to take risks, follow her gut and focus only on the one step ahead. Anyways, she is so cool and awesome and I think everyone should read this book

Sometimes when everything feels like too much, an everything bagel can make it all feel a little better! Mental health and baking has always been intertwined and inseparable for me. While mental health is a rollercoaster journey, baking brings my mind structure and distracts me from the hard stuff. Even though we all see the picture perfect social media/travel posts, it’s not always rainbows and sunshine!!! And that’s perfectly ok!!! Just wanted to give a reminder to always prioritize your mental health and that it’s ok to talk about it. We can do hard things!!!!!
